Item description:
Beautiful, elegant thermal teapot in white hard-paste porcelain glazed with third-fire firing, covered with a metal shell with a hook closure, signed under the base of the teapot with the Bauscher Weiden brand, place of production "Bavaria, Germany", and under the metal shell with hollow signature "DRP". This type of object is very rare and sought after in the collectors' market, being the first, as we would say today, "thermos" made in the past.
Useful information for the evaluation of the object:
From an internet search, we find that teapots similar to ours, of the same manufacture, honestly much, much less beautiful and younger than ours, dating back to the 1950s-1960s, are offered on the most important online art and antiques sales platforms from €150 to €300 each, while teapots from the 1930s in deco style, like ours, range from €400 to €600 each.
Information on artist and/or manufacturer:
In 1881, the brothers August and Conrad Bauscher began producing table porcelain in Weiden with 70 employees. From the beginning, they specialized in robust, functional and durable products for the hotel and restaurant industry. From 1887, all ships of the North German Lloyd were equipped with Bauscher porcelain. The factory opened its first branch in New York in 1895, and two more in London and Lucerne in 1900 (today, Bauscher Weiden exports half of its total production to over 120 countries). Over 1,200 employees now produce for such illustrious clients as “Auerbachs Keller” in Leipzig and “Waldorf Astoria” in New York. Bausch accounts for 98% of all hotel porcelain imports into the United States.

OUR COMMERCIAL POLICY
Aware that we operate in the eBay market, our prices are often lower than the prices at which very similar objects are offered on other online sales platforms, the prices at which they are offered by art galleries in cities such as Rome, New York or London and also the best auction results achieved by similar objects, which, overall, can give an indication of the value of the object, while lower auction results or sales at low prices, by inexperienced sellers who do not know the real value of the object, should, in our opinion, be considered as a stroke of luck for the buyer rather than an indication of the value of the object. The price we ask is always the lowest possible considering how much was paid for the object and the eBay commissions (for the sale, payment and any currency exchange: from a minimum of 15% to a maximum of 21%, depending on the country in which the object was sold) because we prefer to retain many customers by earning less on the single object, focusing on quantity.

For each object there may be multiple advertisements in different countries: USA, Italy, France, United Kingdom, etc. Any price differences are due only to changes in the exchange rate of the various currencies between when we made the advertisement and when you see it.

The cost of packaging is also calculated in the shipping costand everything has increased by 19% because both ebay and paypal also take fees on the shipping cost.

OUR SHIPMENTS:
.Our shipments cost a little more than the average, but they are all shipments with professional packaging. Double box with a lot of bubble wrap around the object and a lot of soft material in the large cavities on all sides between the two boxes. This means that the package is much larger and heavier and therefore the cost of shipping increases, not to mention all the work necessary to carry out a similar packaging and the cost of the various materials used.
